After the implementation of many whole genome sequencing project, more and more researches showed that non-coding DNA (ncDNA) is a major component of the biological genome. Although the function of most ncDNA is still unknown, some studies have shown that most cancer-ralated gene mutations are located in ncDNA regions. And how they specifically affect tumor formation is also an urgent problem to be solved. In addition, ncDNA in the genome play an important role in in gene expressing, regulatory and inheritance.

However, traditional experimental method are time-consuming and laborious, and the amount of genomic data is large and the sequence types are complex. In this context, there is an urgent need to establish accurate and efficient prediction methods to mine the information and knowledge of ncDNA and cDNA. In this study, an efficient computational model Sc-ncDNAPred was proposed to identify ncDNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
